Description of Services: Breast screening for early detection of breast cancer in eligible individuals.

Screening includes mammography (x-rays of breast tissue) * screening results are sent to both the individual and primary care provider

Individuals who receive normal results are automatically recalled for next screening appointment * individuals who receive abnormal results are referred to primary care provider for further investigation, or are referred directly for additional tests

Fees: Covered by OHIP
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Individuals 40-74 years old identified as eligible for the average-risk program, and individuals 30-69 years old identified as being at high risk for breast cancer
Application: Call for appointment * no referral required for eligible individuals between 40 and 74 years old * medical referrals also accepted for eligible individuals between 30 and 69 years old.
