Description of Services: The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit (CAMHU) provides: interdisciplinary assessment, consultation, treatment, and education, assistance with recovery, support, and discharge planning.

The program works in collaboration with community partners to facilitate a continuum of service provision.

Crisis beds: admissions because of imminent risk of harm to self and others on an emergency or urgent basis, on voluntary or involuntary basis under the Mental Health Act for the assessment of risk and contributing mental illness.

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Children Only ; Youth Only
Application: All requests for admission are made by the referring physician. Requests for admission are made through Central Intake or through the Pediatrician on-call. Individuals may be referred through the Emergency Department and hospitals within our catchment area.
