Works jointly with health professionals and agencies ensuring that a more effective and efficient service is provided to the urban Aboriginal population who request translation services

Health and Wellness:

Ensures that the healing and wellness needs of the Aboriginal community are addressed by implementing strategy at the local level in order to reduce family violence, promote healthy lifestyles and provide culture based programming

Provides the following services:
  • referrals to appropriate programs or agencies
  • crisis intervention
  • ongoing services and follow-ups
  • hospital visits
  • support groups and outings for the elderly
  • emergency transportation
  • workshops and seminars on a monthly basis
