Our Purpose:Through partnership, collaboration, innovation, and evidence-informed practice, to build a quality-driven, sustainable behavioural support system of person/family-centred care for older adults living with or at risk of developing responsive behaviours.
Supported by the North East Local Health Integration Network (NE LHIN) and coordinated by North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC), NE BSO provides specialized services for older adults with or at risk of complex responsive behaviours that may be a result of a neurocognitive disorder (e.g. dementia, delirium); mental health; substance use; and/or other neurological condition and offers enhanced support & coaching for their caregivers.
NE BSO offers behavioural assessment & treatment, transitional care planning, education, support, and linkages to specialty care for:
- An older adult with one or more of the above related criteria with responsive behaviour(s); or
- An adult with an age-related cognitive disorder (e.g. early onset dementia) with responsive behaviours; plus
- Enhanced support & coaching for family caregivers and healthcare providers.
